Cedar Birth was created to honor families welcoming their baby through a planned cesarean birth. Just as cedar has long symbolized strength, protection, and grounding, this offering provides intentional, heart-centered support for a birth that may look different — but is no less meaningful. Cedar Birth ensures you are seen, supported, and cared for before, during, and after your baby’s arrival, with a focus on emotional presence, gentle recovery, and a connected transition into the postpartum period.

What’s Included in Cedar Birth

• One – Prenatal session in week 37, with your Blessingway Doula to discuss your planned cesarean birth, emotional preparation, comfort measures, partner support, and postpartum expectations.
• Continuous birth-day support during your scheduled cesarean birth, providing calm presence, education, and grounding from pre-op through the immediate postpartum period. (Up to 3 hours after birth).
• 24-hour postpartum check-in to ensure you’re feeling supported and connected in the early hours of motherhood.
• Two – Postpartum sessions to support you through recovery and adjustment,
  • One within 3-10 days postpartum.
  • One session between 3-5 weeks postpartum, preparing you for ongoing recovery and the transition into the 4TFM Postpartum Recovery® series.
• Enrollment in 4TFM Postpartum Recovery® group class, a 6-week guided recovery program supporting progressive postpartum movement, mobility, core function, and confidence following birth.

Total Cost: $1600

Reservation – To secure your date, a non-refundable retainer of $500 is required. This will be applied toward the total cost of your selected package.

There is something truly special about welcoming a family back to Blessingway. While every pregnancy, birth, and baby brings new experiences, returning families already have a foundation built through our previous journey together.

For a planned cesarean birth, our prenatal time can focus specifically on preparing for this birth experience – including cesarean expectations, partner involvement, emotional preparation, postpartum recovery, and the unique needs of this pregnancy.
