Girls on the Run – Community Coach

Blessingway Doula is proud to support Girls on the Run South Louisiana as a community coach, helping encourage confidence, movement, and leadership in young girls. This inspiring program empowers participants through physical activity, meaningful lessons, and connection with caring mentors.

Girls on the Run is far more than a running program. It helps girls build self-esteem, develop healthy relationships, strengthen emotional resilience, and recognize their own unique strengths. Through each session, participants learn valuable life skills while discovering that they are capable of more than they may realize.

Serving as a community coach has been an incredibly meaningful experience. I have learned so much while walking alongside these girls—watching their confidence grow, seeing friendships develop, and witnessing the power of encouragement and consistency. Their energy, honesty, and determination are a reminder of how important it is to invest in the next generation.

This mission closely aligns with the heart of Blessingway Doula: supporting strength, wellbeing, and confidence through life’s important transitions. Just as families need community support, young girls benefit deeply from spaces where they feel seen, encouraged, and empowered.

A special highlight of the season takes place on May 5th, when participants celebrate the completion of their program with a 5K run. This event is a joyful milestone that reflects their growth, commitment, and courage throughout the season.

Blessingway Doula is honored to continue supporting Girls on the Run and the important work they do to help girls become strong, confident leaders in their communities.
