Hello and welcome — I’m Lara, a certified birth doula, perinatal fitness instructor, and the heart behind Blessingway Doula, L3C. I proudly serve families throughout Ascension Parish, Baton Rouge, Prairieville, Gonzales, and surrounding areas, providing warm, evidence-based support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
🌸 My Journey Into Birth Work
My path to birth work was shaped through years of service — in the U.S. Navy, local law enforcement, and as a military spouse living in Europe and South Korea. These experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and deep empathy.
For more than 15 years, I have supported expectant women and families across multiple countries and birth settings. Each birth continues to reinforce my belief that this work is sacred and transformative.

As a certified 4th Trimester Fitness® Method instructor, I blend doula care with functional movement to help prepare your body for pregnancy, labor, and postpartum recovery.

I believe strongly in giving back to the communities I serve.
- I have completed CASA training and support children and families as a Court Appointed Special Advocate.
- I am an active member of the Ascension Chamber of Commerce, serving as both an Ambassador and a member of the Small Business Committee.
