The weeks following birth—often called the fourth trimester—are a time of recovery, adjustment, and learning your baby’s rhythms. Postpartum doula support provides experienced, evidence-informed care so families can focus on healing, feeding, and bonding.
Blessingway Doula offers daytime and overnight postpartum support tailored to the needs of each family. Some families plan ahead during pregnancy, while others realize after birth that additional support would be helpful. Both are welcome.
Postpartum support may include:
- Newborn care guidance
- Infant feeding support (breastfeeding or bottle feeding)
- Emotional reassurance and transition support
- Light household tasks related to baby care
- Assistance with newborn soothing and sleep rhythms
- Support for partner involvement and family adjustment
- Evidence-based postpartum recovery guidance
Preparing for Postpartum (During Pregnancy)
Families who wish to prepare in advance may schedule a Postpartum Planning Session during pregnancy.
This session focuses on preparing your home, support systems, and recovery plan before baby arrives—so the early days feel calmer and more supported.
Topics may include:
- Recovery and rest planning
- Infant feeding goals
- Home preparation for the first weeks
- Partner roles and support strategies
- Newborn care basics and realistic expectations
Planning Session: $140
*To support early preparation, the planning session includes two hours of daytime postpartum support after baby arrives.
